Nigel Cordell

After training in Audit and Accounts at a Sheffield based UK200 Group of Chartered Accountants Nigel moved into the Insolvency field in 1998, initially with Haines Watts before gaining further experience at BDO Stoy Hayward.

In 2004, he was approached and joined Wilson Field a large independent firm of Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners, firstly as the Manager of their Voluntary Arrangements department and then as a Senior Consultant.  In this latter role, which was undertaken for more than a decade, he developed a large network of professional contacts and utilised his experience across differing sectors to provide SME business owners with clear, comprehensive and creative solutions to the challenges they faced.

Nigel joined Begbies Traynor in early 2021 as a Senior Manager before being promoted to Director in July 2024
